Star Trek Four Volition Non Shape A Novel Business Office Musician Equally Chekov
Last month, the the world was shocked past times the passing of the immensely talented Anton Yelchin in a freak car accident exterior his home. In a bittersweet plow of events, nosotros larn to come across him 1 to a greater extent than fourth dimension inwards Star Trek Beyond, released tomorrow, but amongst Star Trek four already announced, what does the fruture concur for Anton Chekov? Will the role hold upward recast, or volition the franchise march on without a heart as well as soul fellow member of the ensemble cast? Personally, I’d opt for non recasting him to stay respectful to Yeltsin’s memory, as well as because you’d hold upward difficult pressed to observe individual who brought equally much unloosen energy as well as charm to the role. Thankfully, myself as well as JJ Abrams are on the same page, amongst the serial producer, as well as sometime director, telling The Toronto Sun:“I would tell there’s no replacing him. There’s no recasting. I can’t mayhap imagine that, as well as I intend Anton deserves better.”
As for how Chekov volition hold upward written out, he remains tightlipped at this stage:
“I accept idea virtually it, we’re working on it, as well as it’s also early on to verbalize virtually it.”
Killing off Chekov would hold upward the incorrect agency to go. First of all, it would accept to come about off screen, as well as both the graphic symbol as well as histrion deserve improve than that. Secondly, there’s only been also much perish lately. Promote Chekov, give him a novel assignment on only about other vessel, or only accept consummate his 5 yr mission as well as accept him pass his days chilling out at home, fondly remembering the glory days when he bombed the galaxy on a soil of the fine art starship.
